What a fun way to earn money and adorable Shrimp and Grit Kids clothing!  Earn up to 15% of your total sales in cash commission.  Earn 15% of your total sales in Shrimp and Grits Kids credit for the show you host.  At the end of the season you will get a 40% off coupon. It’s easy and fun for all you busy mothers! Becoming one of our reps will give you the opportunity to have fun with your friends and family at your home shows, meet new friends, and earn free clothes and some cash that always comes in handy.  Your children will be the best dressed kids at school!

Our Clothes Sell Themselves

How it works:

1.   Decide how many shows you will be having, how many invitations you will need and how long you will need the trunk for.

2.     We will let you know if we have any interested hostesses in your area for you to work with and put you in contact with them. 

3.     We will ship you the invitations and catalogs, and a handbook for you to look over.

4.     We will ship the trunk to you for your show and the shows you are scheduling.

5.    You will attend all of your shows and process the orders from all of your shows.

6.     You will then ship the trunk to the next rep with the shipping label we provide.

7.     You are done, and you receive your commission and store credit- How easy!!!!!

     8.  A show has to total $500 in order to earn store credit.

What You Earn

A rep earns 15% of her sales from her own show as credit towards her own clothing purchase. Besides earning her 15% credit she earns 10 to 15% cash based on the entire amount sold under her. A rep is responsible for having at least 3 hostesses.  At the end of each season, you get the added bonus of a 40% coupon  off of all Shrimp and Grits Kids clothes!

Sample Sale FRIDAY!

Hey everyone, I hope you all are getting excited about our HUGE sample sale this Friday!!  We have been marking all of the samples- 40% off :), getting all of our inventory labeled/marked down with pictures because we all know it is going to be crazy!

Here's the low down..

-all samples are 40% off- samples will be located on the hanging racks

-current inventory is 20% off-current inventory will be in boxes

-boys clothes will be on one side of the room, girls clothes on the other

-CASH and CREDIT CARDS ONLY!  (no gift certificates, coupon codes, or checks will be accepted)

-bows, headbands, and sandals (adorable squeaker sandals for your little girl this summer!) will be located in boxes

-doors open at 9am, sale will go until 5pm

-there are absolutely NO EXCHANGES, RETURNS, OR REFUNDS on any items, all sales are FINAL.

SAMPLE SALE :)

I know that this announcement is long awaited for some of you...THE SAMPLE SALE DATE IS OFFICIALLY MAY 11th!! WHOO! It will begin at 9a.m. and go until 5 p.m. at the Holiday Inn at the base of the Cooper River Bridge (same place as last year-not the Holiday Inn Express)!

For those of you who aren't familiar with our sample sale....have you ever seen those t.v. shows about the sample wedding dresses where people are pushing each other to get in and going crazy? Picture that with children's clothes! :) People are literally LINED up to get inside :)....(it's a little insane, but totally worth it!)

Confused at to what a sample is? Not to worry, I'll tell you! A sample is an article of clothing that traveled around the country in the trunks for reps and customers to see. They are marked down because even though they technically aren't "used" (no one has actually worn them around town)- they have been possibly tried on and have traveled around the south east! Also, all of our regular inventory will be there as well (still marked down, but just not QUITE as much as the samples!)

Our sample sale is a great way to find awesome deals on smocked clothes! (the craziness isn't TOO bad either- just be ready to be a tad bit aggressive for that outfit that you've been dying for :)!

Congratulations to our top sales rep Jennifer DeFatta who did such an amazing job this season!  Here is what she has to say..

Dear Shrimp & Grits Kids friends,

Thank you so much for all the kind words and encouragement!  I am truly humbled by the responses, because selling Shrimp & Grits Kids clothing is simply something I enjoy doing - I really have never viewed it as "work"!  I am continually surprised and pleased to turn in the trunk each season, since my goals have simply been to represent a good company with high-quality clothing that's as affordable as it is adorable :)  As you all know, Shrimp & Grits Kids fits the bill time and time again!  I always strive to sell more each season than I did the previous season, but that is primarily a function of my type-A personality, and not a "sales" mentality at all.

Several of you asked for my "tips" and wondered about my hostesses - I can honestly say that my hostesses deserve most of the credit for my success!  I have repped this clothing since Spring/Summer season 2009 and my "top two" hostesses from that season are still my "top two" hostesses consistently each season - they are amazing moms who are wonderful at promoting their parties and who LOVE earning free clothes :)  In addition, I have picked up "new" hostesses each season - usually a happy customer who also wants to earn free clothing too!  I also believe that the "market" here in Shreveport, LA contributes greatly to my sales - everyone I know loves to dress their children in classic children's clothing everyday for every occasion, boys & girls.  As a cousin of mine from a large metropolitan city in Texas recently commented - "I'm spending Easter weekend in the land of seersucker and little boys in lace"!!!  LOL.

I'm happy to talk to anyone individually on how I work each season, but I'm afraid my "tips" might disappoint - I just really enjoy promoting the line and seeing my customers/hostesses at their parties to see how their kids are growing up, etc.  And as my husband will tell you - I am very driven to earn the commission because I enjoy having my own exclusive "spending" money! It's how I can continue to fuel my obsession with adorable clothing for my 3 kids :)

A little preview..is it winter yet?

Hope you all had a great Easter!!  I bet everyone's little ones were dressed beautifully in their Shrimp and Grits Kids :)  We would love to see them- if you haven't posted on Facebook already, put up a picture of your son/daughter in their Easter outfits so we can see how cute they looked! 

Anyways, this Friday and Saturday we will be having the photoshoot for our Fall/Winter 2012 line! Can you believe it?!  It is only mid April and Megan is finished designing for this coming fall and winter already so you can keep your little girls and boys looking adorable all year long!  There are sooo many new colors and styles this year I can't wait to share with you!!  Wish us luck, it is going to be a long two days, but definitely worth it so we can get a wonderful catalog out so everyone can see the new line!

Even though this heat wave is amazing and I love spring and summer, seeing these precious fall and winter clothes makes me excited for cool weather!

Easter Bunny fun :)

This past week I found myself dying Easter eggs with friends, helping out with an Easter egg hunt, and got a surprise package in the mail from the Easter bunny!!  All this fun makes me wish I was little again, running around searching for all the colorful eggs that were hidden around the yard and waking up to a big Easter basket filled with tasty treats :).  Sunday is right around the corner, does your little one have the perfect outfit for the big day??  I'm sure a lot of you do, but if you don't you can always stop by our store and grab something adorable for all of the festivities this weekend! 


Also, just to make sure everyone knows, the warehouse will be closed starting this afternoon (April 6th) and will re-open Tuesday April 17th.  Orders can be placed online/over the phone, but will not start shipping out until the 17th.
